Gurney Drive Hawker Centre is one of the most popular hawker place in Penang as it's located in town where it's the center of tourists' attraction. It's just next to the Gurney Plaza, not far from Gurney Paragon and facing the Gurney Drive Beach. The place would be packed with lots of people including tourists and locals in the evening. Unfortunately, it was a Wednesday evening when we set foot to the hawker centre for the first time when lots of stalls were not open. =.=
From the recommendations from various blogs, these were what we ordered:
Rojak Pasembur (RM8.00). I was allowed to select the ingredients in reference to the price labeling aside. Taste-wise still ok. Prefer the normal Rojak. |
Fresh Steamed Cockles (RM5.00). |
Cuttlefish Convolvulus or you can call it Jiu Hu Eng Chai (RM8.00). Nice! But quite pricey. |
Char Kway Teow (RM5.00). I can get nicer ones in Kuching just for RM2.00. X.X |
