Last Day of Dragon Year

It’s the last day of the DRAGON year! Time to update my blog~ Have to leave my previous posts aside first. =P

What’s important about the day before Chinese New Year? Reunion Dinner matters the most. It is a tradition that all family members will reunite and have a feast! This is the time of the year when everyone gets together.

Reunion Dinner is not something easy. There's a lot of preparation that has to be done prior the heavy meal. Been helping my mum out since early morning even though I did not do much.. Hehe..

I had a Reunion Lunch with my family, having 6 awesome dishes of curry chicken, sour pork leg(猪脚酸), sweet fried chicken feet, Loh duck, mixed vege, and cabbage soup.

After 2 hours, I had another Reunion Meal at my friend's place. They have really lots of family members, so having lots of dishes as well and we have to eat in buffet style.

Guess what?! I have a total of 3 reunion meals. LOL! I have my final meal at my granny's place with my uncles, aunties and cousins.

Left out a fish in my pic. Already start eating before the fish came. :)
These sumptuous meals were not the end of the day.

Counting down~~~~~~~~~~~~
While we were bored
With my hairstylist.. Haha!
Messy hair after all the styling
Supper supper supper!!! :D
As the clock ticks... Tick Tock Tick Tock~~~
It's 12am!!

Happy Chinese New Year!! Wishing all a blessed Snaky Year ahead!

The fireworks and crackers lasted for about half an hour or more starting from 1145pm. Nice! Love all the fireworks!

Thai Lunch

Ok.. I know it has been ages since my last blog. :P I'm back now!! :D
And of cos, back to FOOD blogging!! Hehe..
Had this Thai set lunch at Siam Express in Queensbay Mall. Brought our Russian trainer from Singapore to enjoy hot and spicy food! Watch his face go real red after the meal. Haha! Our set lunch of RM115+ comprised of the Lemongrass Chicken as appetizer, Mango Salad, Tomyum Seafood Soup, main dishes of Green Curry Chicken, Steamed Seabass and Kangkung with Belacan, and 4 complimentary steamed rice and Water Chestnut in Coconut Milk. This set was meant for 4 person, but we came in a group of 5 which was already very filling for us. I wonder how can 4 person finish all these.
Mango Salad. First came the mango salad. Very appetizing.
Tomyum Seafood Soup. Hot, Sour and Spicy! Nice!
Lemongrass Chicken. Couldn't taste any bits of lemongrass. Fried stuffs are normally out of my list. :D
Green Curry Chicken. Quite nice. Slightly sweet in taste. Rich and creamy. Goes well with rice, but I did not take any rice. Trying to avoid the extra calories from rice. HAHA!

Kangkong with Belacan.
Steamed Seabass. The seabass was steamed in sweet and slightly sour sauce, together with lots of vegetables. I enjoyed the vegetables alot. :)
The fish was bubbling sauce out from its mouth!! LOL!
Water Chestnut in Coconut Milk. Lastly came the dessert. Ahh~~ A meal ends great with something cold!
Ok.. A full stomach always lead to a sleepy day later on. :P

A treat @ Gil's Korean Cafe

To Gil's again!! Went there with the project team including the Drs. However, the Drs had to leave early due to their packed schedule. Nevertheless, we enjoyed a free lunch. :D
Forgotten the name of this dish. Had this quite long ago.
Complementary Kimshi
Dishes shared among us:
Red bean paste wrapped in fish-looking pastry. Nice! The sweet paste went great with the crust.
Pancake
Korean Sushi garnished with sesame seeds

Fine dinner @ Ben's, Suria KLCC

After a long day at the BioMalaysia Exhibition 2012, we went for a satisfying dinner at Ben's, Suria KLCC just before we took a train to KL Sentral.
The outlook of the restaurant. Love the bicycle. So cute~~
Flipping through the handwritten menu, we finally decided on what to have.
Cold Potato Salad (RM25.90). I'm a POTATO FREAK! This salad was definitely my type.
A shot with my manager. :)
Here came our main dishes.
Pesto Spaghettini (RM18.90). The pesto spaghetti was served along with cheese and grilled chicken. This was my first try on pesto sauce. Unique taste. Quite like it. However, the chicken was a bit dry. It tasted good together when dip with the pesto sauce.

Actually Pesto Spaghettini was not my order. Hehe.. I had Mushroom Lasagna!
Mushroom Lasagna (RM18.90).
This was really DELICIOUS!! I always have beef lasagna, but never mushroom lasagna. Generous amount of mushroom were layered between the rich and fragrant cheese. I'm a CHEESE FREAK! :D

Sushisss~~

Had been to Sushi King numerous times, but I never really blog about the food..
Golden Ball - Deep fried egg with shredded crabstick and mayonnaise. Trying this for the first time. Quite nice thou.
Philadelphia Maki - Crabstick, cucumber and omelette sushi layered with cheese
Tsubukko - Fish roe Sushi
Salmon Carpaccio. I prefer no Mayonnaise added. Just fresh SALMONS will do. Should just order Salmon Sashimi.
Unagi Kabayaki - Grilled Eel.. YUMMY!
Mixed Bento - Rice garnished with bits of black sesame, accompanied with small amounts of seasoned Japanese radish, deep fried fish cake and  crabstick. The main focus of the dish was of course the broiled salmon and deep fried fish and deep fried chicken.
