Malay Hawker @ Bawah Pokok (Jalan Ismail Nagore), Gelugor

After a splendid lunch at Hou Mei Yuen, an awesome dinner is awaiting~
My training buddies brought me to this place selling abundant of Malay hawker food. Situated at Gelugor, this hawker place is rather known as bawah pokok. You can get laksa, cendol pulut, Ice Kacang, fried fritters, nasi lemak, nasi tomato that smelled so good, etc.
Ice Kacang Special (RM2.50). Such a big bowl! So tempted to try when I saw people ordering. And so, the tam jiak me ordered this and finished everything. Burp~
Assam Laksa (RM3 if not mistaken). The main food target of our visit. If comparing Malay Assam Laksa, I think the one I had previously at Pantai Shamrock stands out.

Hou Mei Yuen (好味园) again!

A usual lunch spot for us after training. Serving nice and cheap pan mee (板面), the place is always crowded in the afternoon. I preferred the soupy Pan Mee instead of the dry one, but I had the thin mee this round. Must try the Hae Koe (Belacan shrimp paste)! And also the rojak! Never miss it. Hehe..
Soup Pan Mee (RM2.80). I still prefer flat noodles. :D

Sunshine Square Food Market Tom Yam

If you happen to dine here, must try the tom yam! Hot, spicy and sour! This time I had Tom Yam BeeHoon with pork. Tasty! Starting to sweat after the meal.
Tom Yam BeeHoon with pork (RM4). The Tom Yam broth is definitely the killer. The accompanying pork meatballs and minced pork meat went along so well with the soup.

Harvest In Cafe

Harvest In Cafe is famous for cheap and tasty Western food. Was there for lunch and the place was crowded. There are lots of nice and modern houses decorated this way to serve as cafes. In Harvest In Cafe, not only western food are served, there are also some local Asian dishes available.

Hot Cappucino
Forgotten the name but was complimented by the consumer.
Mushroom and Broccoli Spaghetti (RM9.90). Loving it! Creamy sauce which was great as a dipping sauce for the crispy garlic bread given besides from being as a spaghetti sauce. And I just like all the broccoli and cauliflowers. :)

Delicious Food @ Delicious, Straits Quay

Been missing out lots of posts since November. Getting back to blog on my Penang food trail after all the posts on CNY 2013.
Well~ This was my first attempt in Delicious which was located at Straits Quay. Never been this far for fine dining in Penang. Realized that there were really lots of restaurants in Straits Quay. We were there quite late. So hungry! :P
Took some time to choose from all those mouth-watering dishes.
Melting Pot (RM8.90). Marshmallows served on the rich and delicious hot chocolate that would melt in the mouth.
Aglio Olio Spaghettini (RM15.90)Seafood (RM9.90) was added. Yum yum! Aglio olio could hardly go wrong.
Braised Lamb Shank (RM41.90). Well-cooked lamb shank in rosemary sauce with lots of roasted vegetables. Everyone was in ❤ with this dish.
Smoked Salmon Sandwich (RM27.90). Sour cream was added for taste and being as a healthier dish, multigrain toast was used. =p~
Chilli Con Carne Cheese Fries (RM16.90). Recommended sides to have! Deep-fried crispy fries smothered with Bolo Beef Sauce & Melted Cheese.

How can a dinner ends without dessert?! :D
Chocolate Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream (RM14.90)
I guessed this pic explains everything. =p~
Banoffee Pie (RM12.90). May look simple, but tasted quite good. Eggy kind of taste to me. Kinda deceived by the look. It's actually empty inside.
Forgotten what was this. Hehe~
Red Velvet Cake (RM12.90). Sweet mini macaronis were placed on the cream cheese topping. The cake was just right as it wasn't too sweet and the cream cheese add a little salty flavor to it. : - bd
As the name of the restaurant, they served DELICIOUS food!
Lovely box for take away desserts. :)
I managed to get a few snapshots of the interior.
Lights in bird cages. The usual decorations in all Delicious Franchise Outlet.
