Korea Trip Day 1

I know.. I have been away for a couple of weeks. Just got back from my Korea trip and had been busy with work lately. Anyway, I'm back now and lets start with my wonderful trip in Korea!! ❤ (。◕‿◕。) Expecting autumn at end of November, but was told that we would be experiencing snow. ❆ Our trip started as early as a month before. WHY?? Cos we were busy hunting for winter clothing.. Hehe.. We joined the trip offered by Bel-Air Travel, traveling on a 7D6N tour. We took a flight to KL in the evening and off to Incheon Airport, Seoul, South Korea on a midnight flight at 1am, reaching Korea at 820am Korea time (which is 1 hour faster than Malaysia).

1st Destination: Gyeongbokgung Palace 景福宫
The first spot we visited was the royal palace in Seoul, South Korea, Gyeongbokgung Palace 景福宫
Still able to see beautiful red maple leaves.. Luckily, not every trees have turned barren yet.
Korean drum
We were in time to watch the royal changing of the guard ceremony in front of the gate, but it was quite hard to catch a good spot to watch. Too many people were blocking.
Taking pics with the serious-looking guards after the ceremony.
After we were done with that, our tourist guide took us on a short tour around the palace and of cos, explaining the history of the place.
Our 1st group photo - 景福宫
勤政殿The place where the King held important event or meeting with important guests
7 claws Dragon inside the 勤政殿, situated on top of where the King sits.
庆会楼 - One of the 2 buildings inside the palace which was not destroyed during the Japanese rule.
After the visiting of the palace, we were taken for lunch at a local restaurant!
Got the chance to take pic with lots of maple trees!! :D
Hot Claypot for lunch with refillable sides.
2nd Destination: 仁寺洞 Insadong

Here I am at Insadong! Insadong is a place for shopping and based on my readings, this place is a place for souvenirs.
Interesting stuffs sold there - Wooden Utensils; Brass Items; Cute Socks; Ice-cream filled Corn stick; Peanuts Bar.
We even spotted Baskin Robbins Cakes Display. These 2 were just 2 out of many.
Instrument playing going on.
Steaming hot dim sums! The dim sums were really big. We got to try one of the dumplings offered by our tour leader and it was good!
Tam-jiak me wanted to try Hotteok filled with sweet ground peanut (1000 KRW) which many were queuing for it. It was really nice!
3rd Destination: KimChi School + Hanbok Wearing

An introduction to Korea's famous dish - KimChi.
We were taught the Korean way of making Kimchi!
Me and my Kimchi!
After our KimChi making session, we went downstairs to put on Hanbok (Korea's traditional clothes) for photo shooting.
Tadaa~ Korean family~ Hehe~
A shot with the Korean ladies who helped us to put on our Hanboks
After departing from KimChi School, we were ready to ✈ ✈ ✈ fly off to Jeju Island.

4th Destination: Jeju Island

Taking a approximately an hour flight, we finally reached Jeju Island. With our empty stomachs, we were immediately taken for dinner at
Seafood Abalone Claypot (containing 4 types of abalones with scallops, squids, mussels and prawns). Yum yum~
Understanding that we had a tiring day of taking flights, our tour guide checked us in Tameus Hotel.
Clean and comfy room. Time for bed!
