Jubilee Ground Hawker Centre

Jubilee Ground Hawker Centre is very famous in Kuching for Ice Kacang. There are a couple of outlets around the circular building selling these shaved iced desserts and we always visit the one facing the Jubilee Recreation Ground (the most crowded stall in the pic).
Mango Ice (RM2.20). Flooded with sweet and milky condensed milk, the fruity dessert is just awesome with the sweet mangoes and sago .
ABC / 4 Campur (RM1.70). The shaved ice dessert comsists of soft and smooth red beans, chewy green cendol, sago and grass jelly. The owner was not stingy in adding the santan, giving the ABC a very strong coconut milk taste!
Chocolate Mint (RM2.20). Nata de coco with sago in mix condensed milk, milo powder and peppermint sauce. The peppermint added extra cooling effect. So REFRESHING!!
Apart from desserts, this hawker centre also serves certain hawker delicacies like Laksa, Kolo Mee etc.
Belacan Bee Hoon (RM4.00). This dish already smells good from far as the belacan used was so flavorful.
Tauge Kueh Tiao (RM2.50)
Rojak - Medium (RM4.00). Nice Chinese Rojak we got here. There's mix of cucumbers, dried beancurds, sotong, pineapples and mangkuang, flavored with the sweet Rojak paste and sprinkled with lots of shaved peanuts.

Oinks!

Another Western eatery has set foot in Kuching. Located at one of the most popular place for food, Jalan Song, Oinks! is a place for Western Cuisine and drinking as wines, cocktails, mocktails etc. are served. As the name goes, "Oinks!" , you will definitely find lots of Porky dishes in their menu.

Interior seating of the place.

Piggy plushies to create a cuter environment inside. LOL!
Say HI! to Mr. Piggy!
Hehe~

Coming next definitely would be our orders! Can't wait!!
Lamb Cutlet (RM28). 3 pieces of lamb racks, served along with daily potatoes which was mashed potatoes and mesclun salad. Simple serving but was quite nice. The lamb cutlets were grilled till crispy, yet maintaining the tender meat. Being given the Black Pepper Sauce, it adds up the flavor and it's great to have the smooth mashed potatoes to be dashed with some sauce before eaten. As for the mesclun salad, the greens were flavored with balsamic vinegar which was nice and sweet especially we were having a meaty meal. The salads just balance the up the dishes.
Sampler Platter - Small (RM79). With this Sampler Platter, we got to try out the Roast Pork, Pork Ribs, Pork Belly, Crispy Pork Knuckle, Bacon, Roast Chicken and Sausage. All of them were really good and all having their own unique taste. Unlike some Mix Grill you find in other restaurants, all the meats seemed to be having the same taste. As bacon is always salty, I find it great to be served along with the Mesclun Salad. Both the Roast Pork and Crispy Pork Knuckle had very crispy skin. Yum yum! Pork Belly was deliciously marinaded as well. The pork ribs was marinaded with BBQ sauce which gave a slightly sweet taste and the meat was so tender in which it just came off from the ribs when I wanted to eat.  The huge, long sausage was something you shouldn't miss as it was very delicious as well. Roast Chicken was flavorful as well but slightly dry as chicken breast was given. The dish came along with daily potatoes which were hidden underneath. I would prefer if it's placed at the side of the plate but not with the main dishes on top as the tastes of the meats would be slightly mixed.
Apple Juice (RM8). As for the drinks, the juices are priced at RM8 for Normal cup and RM12 for the Large one in which the Normal one was rather big already.

Dinner @ Sweet Happiness Seafood

Sweet Happiness Seafood in Stutong appears to be one of the crowded Chinese Restaurant for family dinner at night. Guess it's a great place for good food with reasonable price.
Soup which I forgotten the name. Nice!
Butter Prawn which I never fail to order every visit. But the taste varies slightly each time. Sometimes it's just good, sometimes it's really fantastic!
Cold Bidin with lots of crunchy sagos on top.
Assam Curry Fish. So huge and appetizing. Songs!!
Finally given a plate of Soya Agar-Agar for free as dessert. Yummy! :D

Food Gathering Session

It's great to gather all the good food in town and FEAST!!! Hehe.. We went to buy the yummy deep-fried chicken pieces and chicken butts at Pisang Road, Han's BBQ Honey Chicken at Jalan Song. Wanted to get ourselves the sweet and spicy chicken wings from Matang, but unfortunately it was closed. Fanie got the Cha Kueh from Kenyalang Market, whereas Joe and Ying Ting bought Hui Sing's delicious pork satay and Ice Kacang. This is why our diet plans always fail. =.=
Food Fiesta!!
Crispy Chicken Nuggets and Chicken Butts from Pisang Road
Hui Sing Pork Satay! (RM0.60/stick)
Han's BBQ Honey Chicken Wing (RM2.50/piece)
Kenyalang Market's salty version of Char Kueh. People always talk about the famous Char Kueh Stall in Kenyalang and this was my first try. Prefer the salty one over the sweet one. :D
Sweet Char Kueh. I still think that the sweet Char Kueh sold in Hui Sing Hawker Centre at night is better.
Although we got all the famous good Kuching food, but I prefer to have them on the spot cos the foods were cold already. >.<

Howdy Grillhouse

Potato Salad (RM12.90). Generous amount of herbs-flavored potato chunks topped with bacon bits. Yummy!
Pork Platter (RM28.80). Came with the Smoky Racks and Pork Shoulder with 2 sidekicks of our choice in which we had 2 portions of mashed potatoes. Delicious!
Chicken Chop (RM15.80). Given with a Chicken Leg which I asked for the Pepper Sauce with coleslaw and fries. So juicy and tender!
All the food were good! :-bd
