Penang Food Hunt #3 @ Bayan Baru Market

In Bayan Baru Market, there are lots and lots of local hawker delights, but what's nice and not, I do not know. Only managed to try a couple of them. As I have some plans for a big feast at night, I went for something light. 

Chee Cheong Fun. Quite nice. Chewy CCF with the tasty sauce.

Hokkien Mee. I tried the Hokkien Mee from the other stall, which was near to the nice Duck Meat Kueh Tway T'ng stall, and it turned out to be not what I like. This was much better.

Penang Food Hunt #2 @ Super Tanker Food Centre

Coming to this Super Tanker Food Centre, you shall not miss this ever famous Aki Pancake~ 

Chocolate Almond Pancake (RM3.10). Crunchy skin pancake with generous amount of yummy almonds sticking on the sweet chococlate.

Peanut Pancake (RM1). Simple toppings but nice. Lots and lots of peanuts.

Oyster Omelette (RM5). OMG!! The oysters!! So many yet RM5 only. Ordered this during my last visit and did not like it as it was very oily and starchy. Tasted just like fried egg. Couldn't understand why certain people complimented this. This time was much better. The omelette was slightly crispy, less starchy and more flavor.

Tai Lok Mee with crispy lards (RM4). The taste was slightly salty than the usual sweet ones. Overall was ok, but could have been better if it's sweeter.

Penang Food Hunt #1 @ Genting Cafe

My food hunting journey begins! First stop is Genting Cafe. Got here for lunch to try out the duck egg Char Kway Tiao with crispy pork lards, famous Chee Cheong Fun and Sar Hor Fun. Unfortunately, the Chee Cheong Fun stall was not opened for business on Mondays. :(

Duck Egg Char Kway Teow (RM4.50). Way fragrant than using hen egg. The cook forgot to add crispy pork lards for us. :|

Sar Hor Fun. Not bad I would say.

Dessert. We did not know what was it. Got this from a stall outside of the cafe. Next to the Mochi stall if not mistaken. It's like jelly mixed in Gula Melaka. Quite nice. Just a little bit too sweet for me.

A New Recreation in Town!

Looking for something different to do in Kuching? 

Tada~~ 4-Wheel-Bicycle! This is definitely something new and only a shop in town (Carpenter Street) offers such facility. As this is a new business, they currently have 3 bikes - one big and two smaller ones. The big bike requires 4 person to paddle, whereas the smaller bike only requires 2.  If you are looking for the shop, just go to Carpenter Street. It's just opposite Life Cafe. According to the lady owner, the bikes were imported from Austria and they will be having more bikes to come in 2 months time. By then, we can go in a bigger gang! Yeah!

This might be fun, but tiring as well. Exercising! We even went uphill. Thigh muscles greatly toned after this. Hehe..

All the way from Japan!

Chocolat Blanc et Langue de Chat. Also known as Shiroi Koibito. I'm so blessed to get a whole bunch of these perfect snacks from an uncle and auntie who just went for a Japan trip. Very very nice white chocolate biscuit! The biscuit melts in the mouth yet not losing its crunchiness, and the sweet white chocolate just blends nicely with it. LOVING IT!! :X If you happened to see this, must get yourself some.
