Celebration with Japanese Food @ Ten Ichi Japanese Restaurant

Well~ We had a secret celebration on going, so after some thoughts on where to dine, finally agreed by my parents to have Japanese Cuisine at Ten Ichi Japanese Restaurant, operated by Lok Thian Group.
Refillable Green Tea (RM2.80/person)
Sashimi Salmon (RM9/2 slices). Very fresh~
Niku Tataki (RM20). Japanese cooking style of beef~ This dish was very delicious. The beef slices were tender and tastily cooked in the soya sauce.
Ten Ichi Ramen (RM18). Dad had this. Served hot and I think it tasted ok.
Hiyashi Chuka (RM16). I recommended this dish to my mum but she did not like it cos the noodles were served cold. Exchanged with my dad in the end. Haha~ I like it thou. Very appetizing.
Avocado Unagi Maki (RM14). This was really good!. The avocade went well together with the sweetened unagi, embedded in the sushi rice and seaweed roll. We enjoyed this alot.
Nabeyaki Udon (RM18). Tempted by the runny eggs, my udon soup was served hot with chicken chunks, Tempura and some other ingredients.
Chawan Mushi (RM7/cup). Just ok la.
Salmon Pizza (RM24). I'm always a fan of Okonomoyaki. Plus, they have salmon meat added for this dish, so I ordered one to try. Turned up that my parents disliked it and I had to finish quite a lot. Still, I think Tomoe's version is the best so far for me.
Big Japanese feast!! Satisfied!! :D

CNY 3rd Day

It's our last day in KL and so, we decided not to stick around Bukit Bintang area. We took the free shuttle bus (Go-KL City Bus) from Starhill/Pavilion to KLCC. There are 2 lines - purple and green lines. We were supposed to take the green line, but ended up in a tour around KL city. HAHA! The buses were the same and we did not notice which line we were in and just hopped into the bus without asking. >.<

Reaching KLCC safely and "finally", we did not spend much time there and got onto the train to Mid Valley Megamall. First thing we did: Hunting for food!
Durian Pancake from Sumptuous Dessert (RM12 for 6). Many were raving about this yummy durian flesh embedded pancake, so I must try! It was really good!!! Love it!!! True and tasty durian flesh was used with a little bit of cream inside. This was so so so much better yet cheaper than my purchase back in Kuching from a Facebook dealer. Must get it again next time!
YUM YUM!!
We went for Korean food at one of the outlets at The Gardens' food court - Food Gardens.
The set that we ordered. Forgotten what was it. Something like Tom Yam seafood soup.

Side dishes given.
During the CNY, The Gardens also did not fail to set up some CNY decorations around and many were taking their sweet time to snapshot with all these old and classical decors. So did we! Hehe~

Next stop, DESSERTS again!! Yeah! Went around hunting for Delectable by Su and finally found it.

I like their tissue paper.
Jaffa Macadamia Cake (RM12). Quite alright.
After some shopping or to be exactly correct - window shopping, it's time for dinner again. We went to Dragon-i and ta-da, these were what we got:
Shanghainese Steamed Meat Dumplings 上海小笼包 (RM10.30). Delicious! The oozing out soup~~
Cold Pig Shank with Jelly Fish 燻蹄拌海蜇 (RM16). Well~ I like this! First try on cold pork dishes. Tasty~
Pomelo Mango Sago Cream (RM9). Nice mix of pomelo with lots of mangoes.
Beijing Dumplings 北京芹菜水饺 (RM9)
Tasted some sort like the 小笼包. Nice too!

End of my trip in KL! Was back to Kuching with lots of New Year visiting! Enjoyed lots of CNY foodies! Hehe~

CNY Day 2

Continuing on my KL vacation during CNY~
As usual, we woke up for breakfast at our hotel then headed for shopping and shopping just can't go far from Bukit Bintang Area.
Happy Chinese New Year!!
Our 1st stop was H&M. Then, we had lunch at Lot 10 Hutong.
Tempted by the awesome looking Moonlight Koay Teow (RM9.90) from Kim Lian Kee, we did not hesitate to give it a try. Not bad la~ Be sure to queue up for some time although they were quite fast in cooking.
Off to Pavilion again after lunch.

Some lion dance performances were going on and it's so crowded. They said that KL is very quiet during CNY, but it's not true from what I experienced thou.
Desserts is something not to be missed. 许留山 Hui Lau Shan is my spot for dessert-tasting. It's claimed to be a popular dessert franchise in Hong Kong especially for their mango desserts. We had to queue before being seated. Then, we were being given the menu to choose what we want and mark on their menu list. After checking and making sure our orders were correct, we waited patiently for our desserts!! :P~

Herbal Jelly with Apple in Osmanthus Jelly (RM4.90). Not my liking. Kinda bitter.

To try on the various desserts available, we went for the 3 Courses Mix & Match (RM12.90)

From the 9 choices thr, we'd chosen Mini Mango Coconut, Mango Chewy Ball and Mini Mango Crisp.
Mango Crisp. Icy chewed cake crisp with mangoes embedded. Delicious!!
Mango Chewy Ball. Iced cool mango dessert with mango pieces and chewy glutinous-tasting balls. Refreshing!
Mango Coconut. Mango Ice Cream topped together with mango pieces and coconut strips.
Time to cash out~
Look at the Q
Some more CNY decorations!

Long day of shopping must be ended with a great dinner before getting back to hotel. :D
Off we went to the famous Bar-BQ Plaza, located at Sungai Wang Plaza. Our order was easy. Just got ourselves the Family Set and that's it.

Ready for some Korean BBQ folks~
Given with pork lard which I insisted not wanting to use it. :P
Seasonings
Garlic Rice or White Rice to go along.
So here came our sets.
Seafood, mushrooms, squids, chicken slices, avocado, udon and of cos lots of cabbages which we cooked them in the water-filled side of the grilling plate.
Another plate of meat - beef, lamb and pork to really grill on. Given with lots of veges as well.
Great dinner for just RM78.20 including green teas and coke for drinks, towel and taxes!!

CNY 2014

Wondering how I spent my horsey CNY this year? Well.. With all the reunion lunches and dinners, we were on-board to KL! It was an evening flight, so I had the time to do some visiting first. Upon reaching, of cos the first thg was to check-in to our hotel. Then, off we went for dinner!
Walking our way to the fully CNY-decorated Pavilion Mall

Lanterns, calligraphy, horses and all the prosperous things everywhere
Hunting for dinner after photo-taking session! Intended to go to Ben's, but they went out of electricity, so we had to change our spot. Choosing here and there, finally decided to go to T.G.I Friday's Restaurant. It's a Saturday night and also a public holiday, so hell-yeah, it's packed. Managed to grab a seat quite fast and we took some time going through the menu.
BBQ Chicken Salad (RM27.90).
Brownie Obsession (RM17.90). Yess!! Tasted as good as it looked!! But it's damn sweet, so better share this if you intended to order.
Next, we went for another dessert. Snowflake!

Ocha Supreme (RM8.88). All my favorites were in there! Black Sesame Ice Cream on Matcha Ice with all the usual Snowflake's signature toppings.
It was about 10pm when we finished. Before heading back to our hotel, we tool a stroll around.
Snakes in front of H&M. Yew~~
Food vendors at Jalan Alor. Still so full and packed despite it's the first day of CNY. Tot that many would be close for business.

So, that's my 1st day of CNY!!
