There are 2 things not to be missed at Ayer Itam. First is the famous Ayer Itam Laksa. The second would be a visit to Kek Lok Si Temple (极乐寺).

Some goods sold along the climb.

The tiring walk was worth it when these cute little turtles dashed in front of you for food.
Stunning!

Lanterns with auspicious greetings along the balcony
Carvings on the Rock
Only knew that car can be driven up here when we climbed this far.

Some statues in the temple
Nice wood carvings!

This wasn't the end of it. We took the inclined lift to the Kuan Yin Temple and it costed RM4/person for return trip.

The lift has air con! Cool!
Upon arrival, we realized that some people also drove up there, but I do not think that's a good way. The hill is too steep and tyres could get worn off easily.

Posing with our Zodiacs!
Minnie Mouse??
You have turtles to feed down there, up here you have Koi fish.
Sun Wu Kong (孙悟空) / Monkey God
The huge Kuan Yin that could be seen from far on the way to Ayer Itam.
Nice view of Penang Island
It was really hot! But because of this weather, I could take good photos! :P
